The DRIVER project finished in December 2009 after helping the establishment and development of the European open access repository infrastructure. However, much of the work of DRIVER is carrying on in some form. This DRIVER Support Website will continue to be maintained, although not updated, in the medium term.

In this section you will find information on some of the key issues in Open Access and the development of repositories.

The Open Access section provides a general overview of Open Access and the issues involved.

The Building Repositories section provides information on the issues to be considered in developing a repository and information on how to make your repository DRIVER compliant. A tutorial is also available which offers step-by-step advice and support.

The Repositories in Europe section provides information and statistics on national repository networks in Europe.

The Copyright Issues section provides general information on copyright issues with regard to Open Access and the development of repositories.
