There is an estimated 8 universities in Estonia. One university has a digital repository for research output. There is a growing interest in setting up digital repositories. The DRIVER Inventory study into the present type and level of OAI compliant Digital Repository activities in the EU reports that lack of funding is identified as the major inhibitor in building repositories.
